This Hero Chao was only available in Japan and is also very hard to find now. While SA1 had the Neutral Chao and NiGHTS Chao, only the Hero Chao was made for SA2. Toy Island produced some 3D character erasers for SA1, including a small neutral Chao.įollowing the same theme, Toy Island also produced this little Chao pencil topper.įinally, Toy Island also produced a set of gels pens, including a neutral Chao topper (probably the same one as above). These are VMU straps! They feature SA1 characters, along with little Chao danglers! These are becoming more difficult to acquire. The packaging mentions "Sega Fax Club", implying these were prize items you had to win from a machine. Ī cool chao-themed glass from the Adventure era! The set features the main cast of SA1, including this neutral Chao. The only English part of the box called them "Sonic Adventure Key Chin Figures" (note the typo). These keychains were also released for Sonic Adventure 1 in Japan. It goes on eBay for quite a lot of money last I saw it go for was £1500. This series had a very limited run and is known to be especially rare/expensive. This NiGHTS Chao plush was part of the second series of Sonic Adventure plushes. (Remember, internet usage wasn't that common in those days!) In the first series was the Neutral Chao! This was obtained from the UFO catcher machines in Japan and in Sega stores, or via the online Sega store if you lived in the US. The first known Chao Merchandise are the Chao Plush from Sonic Adventure 1, Dreamcast. Japan UFO catcher machines and stores, and online US Sega Store. The game was first released in Japan in December 1998 and with it, some very cool (and now very rare) Chao products!
